Chris Mubiru Uganda Cranes manager who is accused of assaulting minors  is still a free man following reports that the Uganda police has never made an application to the International Police (Interpol) to direct his arrest.
A source in ‘police’ has revealed that police has never made any formal application on the arrest of Chris Mubiru nor anything to do with the arrest warrant of the alleged fugitive. He thus remains free in hiding since no country has the authority to extradite him to Uganda.
Close to a fortnight back, the director of Uganda Media Centre, Fred Opolot said that the Uganda police had been directed to direct Mubiru.Chris Mubiru’s  abominable pictures reportedly leaked to the media last week after his laptop was stolen.He is being hunted to answer the charges of assaulting minors as revealed in the media.

According to the Ugandan laws ,Defilement is a punishable offense according to the penal code (section 1, 29 of the Penal Code replaced) – any person who attempts to perform any act of intimacy with another person who is below the age of 18 years commits an offense and is, on conviction, liable to imprisonment not exceeding 18 years.
