The Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results are going to be released next week ahead of the opening of the new academic year 2013 next month.
565,663 candidates were expected to sit for their examinations last year, 2012 for the examinations. Of these, 463,332 pupils were UPE candidates, while 102,331 are non-UPE candidates.
There were about 1,000 special needs candidates registered to sit for the exams and about 70 condemned prisoners based at Luzira Prison also set to sit for the exams.
They sat for mathematics, science, SST and English papers on November 5th and 6th.
