Father of Chameleone Attacker Speaks Out on Burnt Son

The father of Robert Karamagi, the man who allegedly went to rob Chameleone but instead got burnt has come out and spoken about his son who later on died from the injuries he sustained in the fire.

Karamagi, 27, is said to have gone to Chameleone’s house in the wee hours of the morning and was mistaken for a thief. At first, it was reported that he set himself on fire with the intention of killing Chameleone’s wife, Daniella, something that his father has refuted. “My son had a mental problem and the whole village knew about it, including Chameleone,” he said. “Sometime back, we took him to Butabika Mental Hospital for treatment and he had stabilized.”
The boy died at Mulago Hospital Thursday evening. His father, Maj. Benedict Kyamanywa says his son was tied with a rope and burnt inside the musician’s residence and adds that he was burnt with Aviation fuel.
Kajjansi DPC told journalists on Thursday that police  is waiting for any testimonies which can lead to the real cause Robert Karamagi death .He said that investigations were underway and called for calm at the bereaved family.
